Group Project Controls Lead, John Sisk & Son                                Sep 2021 – Now

I have been appointed to lead the project controls team at John Sisk group of companies globally. My key roles and responsibilities are identified in the following points:

  • Set the strategy and vision of Sisk group project controls function
  • Develop processes, plans and procedures for project controls including (scheduling, cost. change, risk and reporting)
  • Integrate existing processes into the new method of working to minimise disruption
  • Develop BI strategy and data warehouse to achieve the single point of truth reporting on project and organisational level
  • Lead the design and implementation of the 5D solution for Sisk

Zigurat Global Institute of Technology, Professor (Part Time)           Jul-2021- Now

  • Teaching Master program for construction management delivered in collaboration with University of Barcelona

HS2 Main Civil Works Contract (£3B):                                                                                                   Jul 2018 – Current

Seconded to Eiffage Kier JV to lead the planning and controls team for sections C2 and C3.

  • Managed programme development and coordination with internal stakeholders, supply chain, and HS2.
  • Engaged with software vendors to deliver an integrated controls system.
  • Simplified and presented the programme to the team to get buy-in and feedback as part of improvement process.

HS2 Enabling Works Contract (£300M):                                            Apr 2016 – Jul 2018

Seconded to Fusion JV as Project Controls Manager in HS2 central area enabling works.

  • Lead the project controls for enabling works and produced Project Controls Execution Plan for HS2 central.
  • Designed a world class integrated project control systems architect for HS2’s bid.
  • Developing reporting system to JV management and HS2 to measure performance.

Planning & Controls Manager, Qatar Railways Company         Dec 2013 – Feb 2016

Doha Metro Gold Line ($ 3.7 Billion): construction of 23 km tunnels and 10 stations with high end finishes for public, retail, and office areas.

  • Designed and implemented project controls and scheduling processes, plans, procedures
  • Developed and monitored the integrated schedule and reporting system for metro delivery

Doha Convention Centre ($885M): Doha Convention Centre and retail structural and fit-out works

  • Planned project design and execution and developed performance report formats in liaison with delivery team
  • Influenced construction techniques that reduced the execution cost by 5%

Burj Dubai Suites ($136M): two high-rise residential towers, podium, and car park

The Address Hotel ($252M): Construction of 63 stories 5-star hotel (194 rooms & 626 serviced apartments)

  • Implemented enhanced execution methods to improve efficiency; structure finished 3 months ahead of schedule
